I walked The Camino when I was 50.
At 60, I returned to experience even greater joy than before.
After resigning from my post as a head teacher, I needed to clear away the accumulated stress of many years.
Every step along The Way helped do that!
There is healing but also power in this journey as one flows on the current of footsteps taken by pilgrims over the centuries.
The Sun rises from where you have come, and it sets where you must still travel to; a constant companion along The Way.
I felt the mystery of the Camino de Santiago unfold each day as body, mind and spirit became stronger, clearer........and happier !
What did I learn ?
Two things; 'the journey IS your destination' and 'there are always signs along the way if one searches'.
This is a special road ! |
